Warmth

Today I stood in front of the window and closed my eyes for a moment.  The warmth of the sun was wonderful and I almost wished myself into summer.

I miss summer.

But the bright sun was beautiful as it warmed me and my tiny basil plant for that moment.

Stockings were hung.....

 

Christmas

The count down to Christmas is on!  This year I was over ruled so we have a real tree.  I have to admit the smell in our house is wonderful and the real tree does look better.

Taking pictures in low light is a little tricky and I still need practice but I thought I would still share.

 

 

 

 

 

I have been seeing a lot of this "unfocused" photography on pinterest and etsy so I thought I would see what I could get with the tree.  Some call it abstract, some may say it is just a mistake that turned out okay.  What do you think?

A few weeks ago while I was at my parents I found a box of pearls, a necklace and bracelet.  They used to belong to my late great grandma.  We did some research and found out that they are not real pearls but that doesn't matter.  There is some real sentimental value to them and they are beautiful.

 

Manitoba Beauty

Winters in Manitoba are cold, very cold, and long.  But when the weather turns warm (and of course I use the word warm loosely.... minus 8) the beauty of the snow is amazing.  It was a perfect day to go out and take some pictures.
